Road Accident is perhaps the most common term in this era. Fast-moving vehicles and drivers with the least care in the world. What’s worse is for us, it is nothing new to read a ruthless road accident story. We have adjusted ourselves to the fact that these are common and fine. Besides, whether it is a human or an animal that’s hurt in the accident, they should matter equally.
I am not a pet lover nor I had any urge to keep pets at my home. Though, I did have at least some sense of realization that animals do have emotions, feelings, and empathy like a human being. And then, I met with an instance that made me disturb quite for a long time. Whenever I sat for my meal; I couldn’t take a bite and get submerged into the woeful time that has now nurtured and made me prudent.
This episode goes back to the time when things were at peace. The world was all free from the ongoing pandemic and thus had a hustle. I was returning home from work. I just stepped down from the auto that I took for my home and started walking towards the lane that followed my home. On the opposite side of the verge of my lane, there I saw a couple walking hand in hand. Probably, having their evening walk. It was a fine day for me, heeding for all the fortunate things.
The Road Accident
As described, it’s a soothing day and kids are playing in the park. Shopkeepers doing their regular job, few ladies purchasing vegetables, vesper of the nearby temple, and so on. Apart from these, there was a ring of dogs presumably, playing with all their forbearance. And within a spur of the moment, I saw a high-speed car coming in the way of the dogs and barbarically crushing them, leaving one of the dogs severely injured.
The ruthless people seated in the car didn’t even bother to get down from their vehicle. They swiftly drove and eloped. Abruptly, all those things that were calming to me twirled in a moment and stupefied me. After a juncture, I reconciled myself and went near the wounded dog. I saw the rest of the two dogs moving around him but later I noticed they absconded from the place. It made me and the rest of the folks anxiously surprised perceiving that they disappeared. Withal to this, I saw the dogs that I thought to be bolted calling another dog who was apparently not present at the time of the accident.
The tear-jerking realization
The dog who was injured was in tears wheezing all in pain. I along with some other people tried to take him for the medication but it seemed he was living the last few moments of his life. Thus, I thought to make him drink some water. So I took out a water-bottle from my bag and made him gulp. As soon as he sipped a few drops of water, the innocent dog closed his eyes and died. It wretched my heart witnessing someone’s death, who can’t even utter a word and explain their sufferings. My heart busted, even more, when I observed that the two dogs along with another one who came after a while were crying. Yes, they were crying and growling in grieve.
I have oftentimes seen people crying for their beloved one when they depart from this world. But to see animals snarling all in torment made me crippled and heart-broken. I never ever thought that animals are too deeply stringed with their adored ones like the way we are. I assumed that the dog who died was the father of the two dogs and the one who appeared after the moment was his partner. They mourn for a long time and the people around were all devasted including me. Later, I somehow took the dead body at the edge of the road and called the authorized department to do the rites. I bought a few packets of biscuits and offered to the dogs but they refused and ran away from there.

In today’s time, people have turned merciless. They don’t even think twice before ruining the happiness of others and when it comes to angelic animals they are more brutal towards them. I have seen multiple videos surfacing on the internet wherein people are burning dogs for the purpose of their entertainment.
I have come across a festival that is hideously barbarous for the animals but just in the name of rituals, they commit absurdly callous activities. Not just with the dogs or the cats, I implore people to drive with consciousness. This world is already turning into a purgatory; be a little kind and be compassionate to those who are not flexible to express their feelings.
