1. RRR

After the massive success of the Baahubali series, SS Rajamouli is yet again ready to bestow audiences with a fictional tale of two rebellious and legendary revolutionaries. This much-awaited drama will convey the journey of two people who fought for their country in the 1920s.

The movie has also made a huge buzz because of its stellar cast consisting of South superstars N.T. Rama Rao Jr. and Ram Charan. RRR will also mark the debut for the very talented actress Alia Bhatt and a cameo of luminary Ajay Devgn.

Made on a whopping budget of 400 crores, this looks absolutely a must-watch film. So, brace yourself to witness the cinematic wizardry of this brilliant cast and makers of RRR. The movie was slated to release on 7th January. However, due to the rising case and the date has been pushed yet again.

2. Gangubai Kathiawadi

Gangubai Kathiawadi is counted among the most anticipated movies of 2022 since its trailer’s release. The film is likely to showcase the journey of a naive young girl named Ganga who emerges as a fierce woman and works for the betterment of sex workers in the brothel area of Kamathipura. While Alia Bhatt plays the madame Gangubai, Ajay Devgn will be seen playing the role of gangster Karim Lala. The movie also stars some great actors like Seema Pahwa, Vijay Raaz, Indira Tiwari, and a cameo of Emran Hashmi.

The movie may have been postponed several times since last year, yet the final date of its release marks 18th February 2022.

3. The Batman

TBH we have all waited for this version of Batman for a long time. With Robert Pattinson’s charming, dark Batman look and all new – ever better Batmobile, we just expect nothing but a big, big bang at the theatre doors.

The Batman will woe you in the spring season as it hits the cinemas on 4th March 2022. The magnifying superhero thriller consists of Robbert Pattison playing Batman, where he will be seen hunting down the evil of Gotham city along with the Catwoman played by Kyle Zoë Kravitz.

It will surely be a great delight to watch a complex yet mind-blowing relationship between the Bat and the Cat.

4. Laal Singh Chhadha

Led by Advait Chandan, Laal Singh Chaddha will hit the theatres on April 14th, 2022. It is the remake of the Hollywood cult classic Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks. The movie Hindi remake of this compelling film features Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead. While there is no comparison to its original movie yet, it will be interesting to see how Bollywood portrays the same.

5. KGF 2

The two-part fictional mob drama showcases the journey of the dreaded criminal Rocky played by Yash. In chapter 2, the movie also features Sanjay Dutt as Adheera, the antagonist/villain of the story. KGF Chapter 2 is a multilingual venture including various languages, including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi, and is ready for its supreme release on 14th April, giving a tough competition to Amir’s Laal Singh Chhaddha.

6. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

After Spiderman No Way Home, it is very cruel of Marvel to make us control the thirst for the very entanglement of magic & chaos.

The sequel to the 2016 blockbuster ‘Doctor Strange’ the movie is slated to release on 6th May. The movie revolves around 2021’s box office smashing hit Spider-Man: No Way Home. Wherein Dr. Stephen Strange discovers himself in huge trouble after he unfolds himself in the multiverse, and it further takes him on a dangerous adventure with Scarlet Witch (Elisabeth Olsen). In the movie, Benedict Cumberbatch will be seen attempting to understand and grip the outcomes of his magic with the multiverse.

7. Adipurush

Looking at the splendid stardom of Prabhas, there is no doubt that Adipurush is certainly one of the most anticipated movies of 2022. What makes it more interesting is the fact that the movie conveys the epic mythological history of Ramayana. Prabhas will be seen depicting the role of Lord Rama, whereas Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh, and Saif Ali Khan will play the role of Sita, Lakshmana, and Ravana, respectively.

The movie is speculated to release on 11th August 2022.

8. Brahmāstra

The directorial of Ayan Mukerji is one of the most awaited releases. The fantasy drama stars Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, and Mouni Roy in lead roles. Brahmāstra, a trilogy series, also features Nagarjuna Akkineni as one of the key roles.

The movie will take down the adventurous and fantasy drama of Shiva, potentially a superhero.
The film has been in the making for 8 years now, and its first part is finally set to release on 9th September 2022.

9. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

We all know how successful Black Panther was back in 2018, raking a great box office collection and 3 Oscar Awards. This movie is surely one such sequel that deserves the hype.

Although the movie has lost its star Chadwick Boseman, his part will not be recast. However, Marvel has taken charge to carry forward the legacy of King T’Challa ahead and pay a heartfelt tribute to the gem Boseman with its other performers, including Daniel Kaluuya, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, and Angela Bassett. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever releases in cinemas on November 11, 2022.

10. Avatar 2

Avatar 2 will be releasing on 16th December 2022 and is the second of three planned sequels to James Cameron’s Oscar-winning 2009 blockbuster. It was originally scheduled for release in 2014, but filming took longer than expected. It was delayed as Cameron worked on other projects. So, finally, the long wait of 13 years is over now.
